Can I upgrade my tier after placement? +
Yes. If you start on Hearth and decide you need Haven or Élite level support, we can run a fresh search at the upgraded tier. Any previous placement fee is credited 50% towards the new placement if within 6 months.
Is the placement fee paid upfront or after I choose? +
The placement fee (GHS 800 / GHS 1,500 / GHS 4,500 depending on your tier) is invoiced and paid once you select your preferred candidate and before their start date. No payment is required to receive shortlisted candidates or attend interviews.
How does the replacement guarantee work? +
If a placement doesn't work out within your tier's guarantee period (45, 60, or 90 days) for reasons within our control — such as misrepresented skills, conduct issues, or poor performance — we will find and place a replacement at no additional placement fee.
Who sets and pays the worker's salary? +
You agree on the salary during the matching process and it is locked in your placement agreement. You pay the worker directly every month. HomeBase Ghana collects only the one-time placement fee — we never take a cut of the worker's ongoing salary.
What if I need workers from different tiers? +
Absolutely possible. Many households mix tiers — for example, an Élite caregiver for an elderly parent alongside a Hearth housekeeper for general cleaning. Each placement is priced independently.
